It's been a crazy couple of weeks in Lake Woebegon, my home town...
Wait.
That's not me, I'm in Santa Fe. And I'm from Arlingotn. But it has been a crazy couple of weeks. We're still working on the whole getting settled in our new apartment thing, plus Mom and TJ came to visit. So I haven't gotten a whole lot of time to do things like update here or send emails. Stuff I keep meaning to do but keep putting off. Honestly, as long as I get my stuff done for classes, I'll be happy. I'll get it all figured out eventually.
It has been fun running around with them, though. Yesterday we went to the flea market behind the opera house and met a fabulous woman named Roberta whose slogan on her business card says "I do gaudy best." And she does. She was fun. I'll be going back to her booth soon, and only partly because I really want those Victorian earrings (I forgot to stop at the ATM before we went). So that was fun. We also went to dinner on the plaza last night. There was a fiesta going on, so there was a stage and all sorts of foods and games going on. We bought cinnamon roasted nuts and walked the labyrinth at the cathedral. Mom took an amazing picture of the full moon coming up behind the bell tower at the cathedral.
This morning I've sent them off to the flea market, so I can stay here to get some reading done for class. Which is what I should be doing instead of this. So I'm off!
